Please see below a full list of school uniform items, those marked with an asterisk are compulsory branded items, which can only be purchased through the school, via the MCAS shop. Other items can be purchased from any supplier. We have some second-hand uniform available from Student Services - please ask in the mezzanine office. Items marked as available through MCAS are not available at any high street retailers and can only be ordered from our online MyChildAtSchool shop. For access to MyChildAtSchool please go to https://www.mychildatschool.com/MCAS/MCSParentLogin

Orders for branded items can be placed on MCAS. For incoming Year 7 students, please order your items and arrange the collection by calling 020 8714 3100/3125 and making an appointment. Appointments are available with the School Shop from Monday 10th August during the Summer holidays. The school shop is open all school year during breaks and before school.

If you need to change any items of uniform or if you are unable to order via MCAS please email uniform@carshaltonboys.org to arrange an appointment for the school shop to purchase/exchange your son's uniform. Uniform samples are available for viewing by appointment also.

Further notes

1. There are two options for purchasing a Blazer
   1. Purchase a blazer with the school badge already embroidered on, using our MyChildAtSchool shop
   2. Purchase a black blazer (with a left-hand breast pocket) from a high street retailer, and a school badge using our MyChildAtSchool shop, then carry out the sewing/ironing of the badge to the blazer yourself
2. Incoming Year 7’s please purchase Pre-Year 7 Tie
3. Coats - Plain black raincoat / winter coat.  No large logos or large branded writing allowed or any ‘fur edge’ and lined hoods. See examples below (others will be available) If you are unsure if a coat is suitable, please contact the school. Please note that coats can go missing, so please limit how much you spend on a coat. The school is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Please ensure items are clearly labelled. We have a small number of School branded coats available in the School Shop (MCAS), whilst stocks last.

Financial Support

Uniform grants are no longer provided by the Local Authority.  The school will consider applications for a contribution towards the purchase of uniform on an individual basis.  Proof of hardship will be required, i.e. details of current benefits and personal circumstances.  Please contact the Finance Department on 020 8714 3503 for further information. We also have a small amount of pre-loved uniform – please contact pastoral support if you are interested.

Items not permitted

Students must NOT wear in school trainers, caps, sweatshirts, hoodies, fleeces or any other item that is not deemed to be school uniform. All such items will be confiscated.  Coats should not be worn inside the school buildings.

Students should not bring jewellery to school, and under no circumstances may a student wear any piercing item, e.g. ear piercing, eye piercing, tongue piercing, etc.  If a student comes into school wearing any piercing item, the student will be asked to remove it, regardless of when the piercing was done.
